Sarah's Give Away

Picture

I know that Christmas is over but its not too late to sign up for Sarah's giveaway over at  Sarah Fincham's blog

She is graciously giving away this original drawing shown in her December 16th posting.  The drawing will be at the end of this month.

Loving Sarah's work as I do -- of course I just had to pass this along.

Summertime Giveaway

"Star Gazing" is looking for new surroundings.  She's obviously star stuck and thinks that it would be fun to live with one of my talented blog friends.

I need a little more room here in my studio and she volunteered .  How about it  - are you interested?

The drawing will be held on Monday, July 7th and she will soon be winging her way to new a home.  P.S. This giveaway is open to everyone, even if you've won before.

Isn't this fun???

I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy.  Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun." - Charles R. Swindoll

Opening a door...

...to a new, and probably long overdue blog giveaway.

As we open the door to Autumn, my very favorite time of the year, I thought it might be fun to pass this doorway punchneedle creation along to one of you.

I was thinking, the other day, that each day as we rise, we open a new door.  Filled with possibilities, familiar routines, and just being alive to savor it all.  As we end the day that door (which only opened hours ago) is closed and we're on to the next one.  I love the thought that each day is a separate room but all in the same house.

To win this giveaway - just leave a comment here.  I'll announce the winner's name next Friday (the 27th).

Alex of Under A Topaz Sky is the winner of this Valentine give away.

Valentine Give Away

I'm a sucker for Valentine's Day.  I know its been thrust into the mercenary world of marketing -- but the whole idea of a day devoted to 'love' -- who could not like that?  Love is a function that we, as humans, can demonstrate so very well.  It can fill our hearts, make us change our whole life course, smile, laugh and sometimes cry -- but it is always a very precious gift given to us.

And so - I'd like to offer this little fellow as a my blog giveaway -- someone who just looks like love and was created in love.  Please leave your comment below and I'll announce the winner on Thursday, February 14th, Valentine's Day!

Congratulations to:
Lurena - "Man in the Moon".
 Barbara - "Sonata"
 Karen  - "Twilight Path"

Thanks to all of you who commented -- I value you so much.  I've learned from each and every one of you - I've shared snippets of your lives and we've cheered each other on.  That's what friendship is - whether it is in person or from all corners of the world.

300 and counting...

Back in late 2009 when I began my blog I never thought that I'd still be going and that I would actually put 300 posts on line.  Whew!!!

You know what keeps me going?  You do!!  Each of you who read and comment; those of you who have become dear friends; the sharing of the art that you do and the techniques we all use - priceless!

When I began this blog I was heavily involved in beading and actually began it in conjunction with my enrollment in the Beaded Journal Project.  Soooo, how about a big giveaway of three beaded items from what seems like so long ago?

"Man in the Moon" is a beaded three-dimensional piece which comes with a stand from which to hang him.  "Sonata" is another three-dimensional piece standing on her own stand.  "Twilight Path" is an encrusted bead stitchery which is mounted in a metal frame.

Please leave a comment below - this give-away is open to one and all - even if you've won a giveaway before feel free to throw your name in the hat!   Three names will be drawn Sunday the 19th with winners announced on August 20th.   Meanwhile thanks to all of you who have made this art journey so much fun.

Almost Spring!!!

Its almost spring.  I know this has been a milder than usual winter for many of us -- but for some reason it seems like I've been waiting with bated breath for this winter to be over.

So let's celebrate!  Here's a 'welcome spring' giveaway -- a petite pocket paired up with a bag filled with lavendar.  I'll announce the winner on Thursday the 22nd.

Meanwhile I'm sending you all wishes for sunny days ahead.

A Valentine Give Away

As we begin the month of February I'd like to celebrate Valentine's Day (one of my favorite holidays) with another blog giveaway.  This one could be called "The Key to my Heart".

Valentine's Day is the perfect antidote to cold, grey winter days.  Its also the perfect excuse to send wishes to friends and loved ones.

Please leave a message on this posting.  I'll be revealing the winner on Thursday the 9th.

Fall Giveaway

Being surrounded by the beauty that is this fall -- I'm going to 'fall back' to an earlier creation and offer it as a giveway.  This artist book, "Tugging at Nature" is in an accordion style and is made primarily of fabric and chock full of forest images.

So here you go -- if you'd like your name to be put into the hat please respond to this posting.  I'll draw a name next week, Thursday the 3rd of November, and then pop this little bit of autumn into the mail

I thank each and everyone of you for sharing this journey with me -- and love the opportunity to give back a bit.

Spring Giveaway

With spring in mind I created another 'give away' ditty bag - this time using spirals in shades of purple, lavender and green against an aqua blue background.  I've filled it with some fibers that I have hanging around.

The back is identical to the front and there is a handmade cord to hang the bag if you wish.

Just leave a comment to this post - it doesn't even have to be anything more than 'hello'!  Hope to hear from you -- I'll draw the winner's name on Monday, May 23rd.

And the winner is...

I've put all of your names into a hat and asked my husband to pull one out.  Thanks to all of you who left a comment and I wish I could give each and everyone of you a special Valentine.

Our winner is: Deborah of While I Was Waiting.

Deborah your Valentine bag will be shipped out today, hopefully it will arrive before or at least by Valentine's Day.

It was great fun creating something to give away.  I'm sure there will be more 'surprises' in coming months.
