Opening a door...
...to a new, and probably long overdue blog giveaway.
As we open the door to Autumn, my very favorite time of the year, I thought it might be fun to pass this doorway punchneedle creation along to one of you.
I was thinking, the other day, that each day as we rise, we open a new door. Filled with possibilities, familiar routines, and just being alive to savor it all. As we end the day that door (which only opened hours ago) is closed and we're on to the next one. I love the thought that each day is a separate room but all in the same house.
To win this giveaway - just leave a comment here. I'll announce the winner's name next Friday (the 27th).

What a lovely thought, I love the autumn, such beautiful colours and it has a lovely peacefulness about it after the mad days of summer.
ReplyDeleteI would love to own a piece of your work so please put me in the hat.
That quote about quiet reflection breeding effective action exactly answers my need at the moment. The challenge is to achieve the quiet reflection!
ReplyDeleteI love your doors and would like to have this one, but I am already the lucky winner of a punch needle treasure from you. So if I win this, draw another name. Hey, does that give everyone two chances? Hope so!
ReplyDeleteI'm quite willing to allow 'all entrants' the possibility of winning, even if they've won something else before. So come one, come all. I promise this won't be the last giveaway! *smile*
ReplyDeleteI like this piece a lot. The colorway is beautiful. There is always talk about doors closing only to find another opening. I like your take on it much better. If you think of your life as a separate day (room) perhaps you gain better perspective on the day's events.
ReplyDeleteI like the Peter Drucker quote too.

The colourway is stunning and the imagery is just perfect. Lovely, Penny!
ReplyDeletePenny... what a beautifully designed and executed piece. The doorway opens so many possibilities and I love the quote at the end of the post. Heading to retirement and many new doors, and time for quiet reflection on a very busy life. This piece would be most meaningful in that journey.

I don't love autumn, because I love summer so much....but I try to find ways to be joyful in the fall....and winning this piece would certainly create joy for me!
