"Moon Beams" Heart

Shhhh - its night time.  The moon is shining in the dark sky and I am wishing on it.  Wishing for those things we all wish for - peace and pleasure, laughter and loving, conscience and caring.  As a girl I never realized that there was an actual 'man in the moon' until I put on my first pair of glasses.  I've been talking to him ever since.

I'm afraid my camera just could not capture the delicacy of the colors in this heart.  The loops are punched in palest lavender with Wildflower thread 'pale lilac' as the trim.

"There is nothing you can see that is not a flower; there is nothing you can think that is not the moon". - Matsuo Basho

  1. A heart after my own heart! I have always related with emotion to the moon. Then when I was old enough to understand what it meant, I learned my birthday made me a "Moonchild". The colors are beautiful on my monitor. I'm sure you are right that they are prettier in person. Penny, you have a way of touching emotions!

  2. This is beautiful!! I love the man in the moon, and spent time with my daughter when she was younger, gazing at and chatting with him too! What an awesome way to start my day - going through blogs that have beautiful artwork to share! :-))

  4. It's hard sometime to get the right colour balance in photos, but I'm sure we can all imagine it!
