I walked into the dining room and there was Flower Mouse -- trying to figure out how to get dirt from outside into her planters so that she could grow some flowers.
Can you believe it that she took one of my antique silver spoons, my tin sprinkler pan and my copper 'basket' and then expects me to fill them with dirt?
Well of course I told her no - that if she really wanted flowers she could scamper outside anytime she wanted to. Thereupon she turned her back to me and hasn't spoken to me since.

Well, I can understand her fascination with flowers! So...Penny, are you going to help her out?
ReplyDeleteAstonishing how a mouse can flounce, isn't it! I hope you get back on speaking terms soon...
ReplyDeleteHARUMPH, Miss Flower Mouse! In spite of her attitude, she's adorable. The pink butt button is genius. So Penny, my dear, when is that children's book coming out?
ReplyDeleteWhat a naughty girl. Still mice will be mice.
ReplyDeleteMice are funny little critters. They never stay mad long. Actually it's all an act. She is, no doubt, conjuring up a plot to bring that dirt into the house herself a few grains at a time. If you see her scurrying back and forth, you best creep after her to find out what she is up to!

Isn't it interesting how the little dolls and things we make sometimes really do seem to have life?? I know that's happened to me more than once. I guess that's putting your heart into your art!
ReplyDeleteCheeky little madam!!
