"Really" Unlikely
Oh dear! Who is this sitting atop a heavy drill atop the work table in the garage? Of course we had to have a conversation because if this drill actually started up it would vibrate "Really" right off the bench onto the floor. Pointing this out was something "Really" did not want to hear.
So once again - I had to compromise with one more Unlikey by promising him that he could watch the next time the drill was turned on. Of course I cautioned him that it wouldn't be me who turned it on -- I am averse to any heavy duty machinery (and by my definition pretty much anything other than an iron or sewing machine falls into that category).
"Okay", said "Really" - "Just let me talk to your husband he'll understand". Hmmm I might have to eavesdrop on that little conversation.

"Somewhat" Unlikely
Our front door entry area sports a number of gee-gaws that we like to look at. One morning I noticed an addition to the collection.
Upon asking her what she was doing up there she told me that she wanted to be the 'entry sentry' and that this seemed like a perfect place in which to practice her vocation.
I had to break it to her that most of the coming and going is at the back door. She didn't seem deterred. "If you don't have much traffic here that's all the more reason you need me. Some undetected person of malfeasance might sneak in".

"Very" Unlikely
I have found out, since your last visit here, that the
“Unlikely’s” are given their designation at birth (I guess there’s some kind of
‘high counsel’ or something) and then sent out into the world with the goal of
debunking any unlikely they find.
Once I knew this I was not surprised to see this small creature hiding
inside my mail box.
“What are you doing in there?” “I have always wanted to travel and it seems
the best way to see the world would be to put myself in the hands of the US
Postal Service”.
“The Post Office is very particular about the way
mail is packaged and you’re not even packaged at all. You must come home.” At that point she jumped
up on top of my mail box. “It simply
seems the quickest way to travel and I’m sure I qualify for ‘priority’
service”. “That is VERY unlikely. In fact
you’re more likely to end up in the
dead letter box!” “WHAT???”
“Come home and I’ll fix you some tea, spread the
Atlas out in front of you and you can let yourself travel wherever you
like.” “Okay, but I get to choose the
tea.”
