Seed Packet Pocket

Its Spring -- planting and growing and blooming season.

As our world warms up, saving seeds will be even more important, for at some point, in some places, some species may not be able to grow.  I send thanks to the seed banks and the people who work to save our seeds.

We are all here because of a seed and the plant that grew from it.  What an amazing thing a small seed is!

"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds you plant." - Robert Louis Stevenson

  1. Say "Seed Packet Pocket" fast five times! Lol! I just planted some seeds yesterday, very timely post. Your embroidery is lovely, Penny, the butterfly is perfect. Very pretty!

  2. You are SO on a roll with these! Another gorgeous addition to the pockets!

  3. Pretty Pocket. You are so right about amazing seeds. I often wonder how plants and trees get started in the most unusual places proving that where there is a will there is a way. My daughter has a start from the most amazingly beautiful maple tree with purple/maroon leaves. Terry says we don't need it and don't have room for it but what does HE know. I'll be planting morning glories this week. You can never have enough Morning Glories.

  4. A beautiful and useful pocket for the house..

  5. What a lovely pocket, full of the promise of things to come.

  6. I found this especially intriguing as Cassell is my maiden name. Lovely pocket and thought prevoking!

  7. Lovely! I really like the texture the seeding is giving to your work at the moment!

  8. Susan, thanks for stopping by. Perhaps you have seed vendors in your history.
