Front
Quietly this pocket became real. With bits of on-hand fabric, Sari silk and buttons found.

The colors going together as a meditation would - silently becoming.

You have found the perfect element to fill it too!! (love the meandering seed stitching).

That's worked beautifully!
ReplyDeletelove it.
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh! Wonderful, front and back--love the soft pink and grey and the various ways you've added texture and interest!
ReplyDeleteSoft lilac and grey were often my new Easter clothes colors in the 1950s. I think every Robert Hall suit for little girls came in those colors. The second view looks like a "door" into the pocket! So much hand stitching gets my attention. Beautiful job, Penny.
ReplyDeleteThese little pockets are a delight - this one especially. Soft lilac and grey always remind me of my much-loved grandmother. As a widow in the 1950s (and an old-fashioned one at that), she wore lilac and grey most days.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteLike a nest - with little mice in it...
