Whoosh!!! Swoop!!! What was that? That was the latest Flutterby stopping by. "Flying Flutterby" is quite fun. However I'm finding it a bit difficult to conduct a conversation with her -- she just won't stand still... or even sit still.
Her wings are the envy of "Ribbon Tailed Flutterby" so I've had to explain to my little percher that it takes a heck of a lot of energy to fly like that -- and in this warm weather, I think perching makes a lot more sense.
As for the "Flying Flutterby" there will be no perching for her. After all you can't keep a high flyer down. Whoops and off she goes!!

So cute, I love her "top-knot feathers" and that she is made to hang. Her little heart feet are perfect. Another gem!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, she must be having fun. Isn't it strange that we all seem to long to fly...
ReplyDeleteI think that looks like Circus Flutterby. Yep, I'm sure of it. I used to see her all the time flitting from perch to perch swooping and loop-d-looping. I'd recognize her anywhere. You don't see many Flutterby, let alone one with heart feet. I remember seeing her once flick her legs around a perch and just spin round and round. Very Thrilling. If you ask her nicely, I bet she'll do a trick or two!!

A little madness is a boon in this world. Love those heart shaped feet.
ReplyDeleteWe always yearn for that which we don't/can't have...
ReplyDeleteI don't blame her - if I could fly, I'd never want to land either! :)
ReplyDeleteI REALLY like her!!!
ReplyDelete...hope you can keep her under control :-)
She's so cute-and is that linen she's made of? I love the cloth, whatever it is, and you've made her so well!
