Lately the sound of bells has been heard on the streets of Lickety-Split - and not the regular church bells either.
No, it seems that one of the first boarders at The Muddle House is wandering our streets. Each step produces a slight tinkle of bells. If you listen closely you might even hear him singing, softly under his breath.
"A bell's not a bell 'til you ring it,
A song's not a song 'til you sing it,
Love in your heart wasn't put there to stay,
Love isn't love 'til you give it away." -
Oscar Hammerstein II
OMGosh!! I think I heard him skip past the house! Those bells have a vintage jingle. He shook his shoulders as he pranced by just a tiny bit to give us a lift. Even the mutts stopped digging to give a listen ~lol~

Love his musical jumpsuit!
ReplyDeleteHe's wonderful - time he started singing a little more loudly. Perhaps he could sit on the porch at The Muddle House in the twilight and serenade the neighbourhood?
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your imagination! Makes me want to pull out my fabric and sewing machine and make me some more dolls. I went through the stage of doll making years ago. You inspire me! Btw, StarGazer is doing well here on the Snake River! She is such a lovely little piece of sweetness! Blessings, Karen
ReplyDeleteWell Penny, you've done it again,...brought the most delightful of fantasy characters to life. I love his eyes and nose, and he looks like he's ready to take a step on those carefully crafted legs. The Minstrel is most welcome to saunter down my street anytime!
ReplyDeleteWow, he is great Penny! Is he the result of your experiments the other week?
