"Leaf" Pocket
An autumn design in the middle of the hottest summer on record! It felt good to think of cool, crisp October days as I worked with these fall colors.
The leaf is a 'find' from long ago -- again I'm searching through my stash to see what I can find that will go well with these petite pockets.
I'm thinking that dried flowers or branches will be a good addition to this Fall themed pocket.
"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.". - George Eliot

It is really lovely! Not that I welcome fall mind you, but it is gorgeous anyway!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how we always seem to long for the next season to come, isn't it!
ReplyDeleteAs always, I LOVE it! It's in honor of my favorite season, and one that I am looking forward to this year more than ever. The leaf and earth-tones are perfect. I like the gradual transition of colors. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments. Unfortunately, I AM looking forward to fall. I know that I should live in the present and enjoy the beauty around me -- but there you have it, I'm just not a hot weather girl.
ReplyDeleteI love your pockets. I have made many myself ... from old sweaters ... easier than the labor-intensive work you do! I also make a series that have "pennies" on them with little dolls inside, called "Penny Pocket Dolls." Almost all my pocket photos are from pre-digital camera - I should dig them up and post. But will I? Ha! Procrastination ... thy name is Morna.
ReplyDeleteSo very special.
ReplyDeleteLook, look! I hope you like it. If not, tell me and I'll remove it. xo
