Are you ready for spring? I am!!!
Here's my latest doll, already working in her garden. What will she see as the season comes on?
She'll start with seeds and find a few small stones as she turns the earth over. She'll see a bright green stem reaching for the sun and later on tiny buds. Finally, at her feet she'll see flowers.
"The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just on the body, but the soul". -- Alfred Austin
She's so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI hope she gets just the right amount of rain for her garden.
ReplyDeleteOh Dolores -- rain will NOT be a problem. We had 6"-8" on Sunday and right now its raining and 'they' say we'll get another 4" - 6"!
ReplyDeleteShe's sure gettin' that rain today!!! LOL
ReplyDeletePenny, she is magnificent!!! I want her!!!
Oh, what a beauty! I think she has the shape and movement of perhaps carrying something in her arms as she makes her way to the garden. I love the peaceful earth tones, and as always, am in awe of your plentiful(!) stitching. She's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteShe is so lovely! Beautiful colors and exquisite stitching!
ReplyDeleteShe's gorgeous! A pure garden nympf.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen the Austin quote but its exactly how I feel. I just can't wait to get outside. I am re-landscaping the frog pond area this year. I hope the weather cooperates.
And what a beautiful gardener she is too. Just love her!
