"Most" Unlikely

"Where did you come from and what are you doing here?"  That's what I asked the Most Unlikely visitor to our dining room.  There she sat, big as life, atop the resident metal bird.

"I am going to fly on this big bird and he's going to take me way up in the air."  She sounded awfully confident.  Unfortunately I had to 'burst her bubble' telling her that her dream was 'most' unlikely considering this bird can't fly -- it is metal and really and truly has no wings except these etched in metal.

She seemed to take it pretty well.  I believe these "unlikely's" are used to hearing why they can't do something.  Soon enough she perked up and asked me "do you have a canary or a parakeet handy?"

"The moment when you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever being able to do it." - Peter Pan

  1. What a cutie, still smiling in spite of the bird not flying. I love their kissy noses! Are they some of your smaller dolls, or is that bird gigantic?

  3. OMGosh!! She is one of my very FAVORITE of your residents. Oh silly you. Of COURSE that bird can fly. Why do you think she selected her. The wondrous thing about Most Unlikely is that when she puts her mind to it, she can do anything, just like other Unlikelys. They are a most determined family.

  4. Just wanted to let everyone know that - these are the smallest dolls I've done so far. They are 9 1/2" tall from feet to the top of the hat and 5 1/4" seated. Quite fun and different to work so small. - Penny

  9. Just now, while reading your newest doll tale I had a thought that was so clear & crisp & I could see the finished product right before my eyes. I saw a storybook [photobook] of a compilation of your dolls all in one place. Many companies are online now to help produce such things ... will you at least go have a look? Here are some I like: http://printstud.io/products

    and http://www.artisanstate.com
    Just sayin' xo
