Magic
What do you think when you hear the word "magic"? For me the word conjures up good things. I like to think that all the good things in my life are 'magic' and should be treated as such -- not taking anything for granted.
Since we all know I'm a 'word junkie' -- I've decided to make "Magic" my word of this new year. Each day I will reflect on all the magic in my life -- being thankful -- being in the moment -- living a 'magical' life.
The first 'magical' event was a video sent to me by my granddaughter showing my great grandson opening his first year birthday gifts. Oh how adorable he is and what a gift he is to our family.
The second was the snow that came down and covered everything in beautiful white blankets.
The third was a new-to-me tea, flavored with Chamomile and Lavender.
Just think, more to come! Yes, magic does exist!!!

Our thoughts are moving in the same direction this year, as they often do. I have another blog friend who has a new baby in the family. The mother set up a private U-Tube account that can only be viewed by invitation. She loads the vids she takes of her kids so everyone she has invited can watch. I thought that was a really cool idea.
ReplyDeleteOur weather guy predicted we will get 80" of snow this season and we have had about 10 or so up to now. I hope we will not receive the rest all at one time!! However, we have had rain. I forgot that so it may not be THAT bad.
Magic is a marvelous word. It conjures up thoughts of wonder and mystic. I love to just SAY magic. It's like, well, magic!

:) I hope your life continues its magical journey this year! I love the idea of appreciating the magic in your life and taking time to reflect on the joy of it!
ReplyDeleteMay all your days have some magic about them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post! I believe in magic, and I believe we all NEED magic.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite magic quotes is from Bertrand Russell:
"The world is full of magical things patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper."
I can't wait to hear more about your magical adventures in 2017.
Magic, such a magical word. I must try to find more of it.
ReplyDeleteIn Northern England, 'magic' is used as a superlative - "Yer blog's magic, lass," - in all senses of the word!
ReplyDeletemmmm-that tea looks good-think I'll try it. I think 'Magic' would be a good pets' name too. Maybe a cat. You're right-we need those moments in our lives-back to the wonder of being a child, maybe...
ReplyDeleteSuper optimistic post, Penny, as always. I count on that!
