Never Say Never

For years and years I have prided myself on making my own patterns and designs.  Recently I wanted to come up with a new rabbit pattern -- something smaller (by quite a bit) and something a bit more dimensional than I have been making.

After drawing and dabbling I realized that I was getting out of my comfort zone and not creating anything I could live with.  And so an adventure began as I searched for a pattern that had already been created by someone far more inventive and skilled than I am.

After much searching I found a small (4-1/2") rabbit, seated and with dimension that thrilled me.  Thankfully I could purchase this pattern and have it within a few hours.

This post is a thank you to Lisa at Skunk Hollow Country Store who provided this darling pattern.

  1. 4-1/2"!! What Fun. What small Stitches!! I'm going to check out the link and see if I find a mouse...I don't know why I want a mouse, but right this very moment I do...maybe I won't later today, but if I find one I'll buy it anyway, just in case I want it again tomorrow. There are mice living somewhere in my house...God knows I don't want THEM!!

  2. So tiny, yet with movable limbs! I have started to order patterns of different animals because I think it would help me design my own. I really love this rabbit and am curious to see what else she offers!

Can't wait to see how this little fellow develops and what embellishments you will bestow upon him/her!

  5. I also love patterns from other artists-they have helped me in my own pattern making, but it's just plain fun to use a pattern an not have to do all the fussing about making one! Your little bunny is very cute-I know you'll make him unique!
