Rabbit Rescue

Its cold outside and rainy and wet.  I heard a gentle plea at the backdoor -- and when I looked I saw this little one.  At that time she had no flower on her clothes and a quite bedraggled look.

I invited her in and she told me that with all the rain her rabbit hole was getting muddy and not at all compatible with her lovely dress.  What's a person to do?  Of course she was invited inside.

She seemed so sad that I dug out a metal flower to give to her, telling her that this would remind her of spring (which seems such a long way off).  She's much happier now and I suspect she won't be leaving very soon.

  1. Oh that Waskully Wabbit!! Your place is marked!! Better look around outside and see if you can find where the Hobo Rabbits marked your house in Rabbit Hoboglyphs!! You're sure to get a lot more visitors now!! She'll expect you to give her chores to do to earn her keep..just a tip. DON'T let her wash the veggies for the soup!!

  3. I'm in love with all of these ear-y creatures. And that sweet green outfit is wonderful--no wonder she abandoned that muddy hole and found safe harbor with you!

  4. I imagine she was quite chilly after being out in the rain....she might like some hot tea and a slice of carrot cake :)

    I know I would......

  7. Susan and Dolores - I can't get through to either of you by email -- but wanted you both to know that I very much appreciate your visits. Thanks.

  8. Be careful Penny, your kind heart might lead to you being over run with bunnies (each with a sob-story to tell) by the spring!
