Treasures

These treasures sit on the corner of my work desk.  I continue to add to them - a bit of this and a bit of that.  They entrance me and engage me.

Occasionally I pull out some of my favorites, put them in a small dish and contemplate them.  What can I do with this one?  What early civilization does that one remind me of? How would I attach them so that are 'one' with the background?  These questions continue to spin within my head.

Will I really and truly choose one, or two or three to put into an as yet designed stitchery or will my 'stash' continue to grow with abandon?  Hmmm...

  1. I have one, or two...OKAY..a few just like it. The thing is, if an item is "dish" worthy, its something I truly love or has some sentimental value and I will only use them on projects I intend to keep.

Looking at them and letting your thoughts about them wander is one of my forms of meditation.

  4. Now that's a treasure trove of possibilities!

I bought more beads yesterday. I stood in the shop and asked myself the same question I always ask myself in that situation: do I really need MORE beads???

No. But I think my stash will continue to "grow with abandon." Perhaps we should all form a club?!
