"Much the Worse for Wear"?

Happily I say goodbye to this year.  Not that it was bad mind you, but my body and mind have changed (dare we mention the three letter word age???).  I'm trying to keep up with the changes but some days are harder than others.

I want the old energetic, 'go getting' girl I once was but am trying to  accept my limitations and seek grace, beauty and love .  Sometimes it comes easily and other times its a struggle.

Do you keep a journal?  Do you make 'resolutions' for yourself, to 'evaluate' your life as we turn the last page of 2018?

I have kept journals for years. I find it helps to just write down all the good stuff and get the bad stuff out of my system by writing it down too.

To all of my friends I wish you a wonderful new year ahead - one where you make only good memories.
Happy New Year!!!

"Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, whispering, 'It will be happier".

    1. Oh Daryle
Every morning I wake up looking at your "Memory Keeper" doll. He hangs in my bedroom and I like to think he's watching over me. At the very least he's a good listener *smile*.

  2. I never have kept a journal, don’t know exactly why. Now that 3 letter word with arthritis is keeping me from even thinking about it. Onward with memories of the good stuff instead. It’s ok with me if I just block out the bad stuff. Happy New Year to all!

    1. Happy New Year Barbara. Perhaps you could 'record' your journal. Just say a few words each day and then you'll have the fun of going back at the end of the year to relive all the 'good'd stuff.

  3. Oh yes-I have a HUGE pile-the journals go way back into the early '80's. Yes, it helps me too to get the bad stuff out, and get my thoughts and dreams out where I can see them. God bless you dear one.

  4. As I started my 2019 Journal this morning I looked ahead at all the pages to fill and got sort of excited at the possibilities!

  5. I've kept journals for most of my life, but they are mostly boring. I love the ones that record things about my girls when they were small; later, the ones where I recorded ideas for dolls or creative endeavors (most were forgotten almost as soon as written); a few genuine reflections. The daily "to do" lists--not so much! :)

Happy New Year and wishes for a fat journal of good things in 2019.
