The Green of Spring

At this time of the year, in this particular place, I am surrounded by bright green.

                                                                                      Hosta

This is not a green that I will see in the long, hot summer months.

                                                                                      Grasses

This is not a green that I will see in the rusty shades of Fall.

                                                                                       Ferns
This is not a green I will see in the coldness of Winter.

This is bright, exciting, new green that only appears now and for this moment in time I'll revel in it.

  1. Variegated Hosta, Lilies (?) and Fern...you indeed captured (through the camera lens) the shades of spring green!

  2. Spring green...New Green. Perfect descriptions for the green of new foliage recently popped through the ground.

Yesterday I searched for Rustoleum paint to perk up some items in the pond area. This green is exactly the shade I was looking for. Checking the can tops, all green seemed so dull. I like spring, once the days warm a bit. Of course for me, it brings anticipation of the summer days ahead.

  3. I think we are about two weeks behind you, but we have all of the same plants. I'll be looking for this lively green then, if we ever get some sun and warmth to help them grow.

  7. My favorite color in the whole world. I swear, I get calmer just looking at it ..... except I must say, I do love Robin's quote ;>))
