HOORAY!

Congratulations to Carol who won the drawing for "Doorways".  This comes at a good time for her as she opens the door on her new retirement status.

Meanwhile - back to the belt which has been ongoing behind the scenes.  The punching was the best part of the experience.

Finishing was another matter.  Part of it was my attitude as I just couldn't get interested in doing the finish work.  Do you ever have that problem?

After all is said and done I'm happy with it and am looking forward to getting 'dressed up' one of these days.

  1. I hear you. I find the finishing of projects at time tedious. I knitted a sweater that needs to be sewn up - it's been several months. Since it is not for anyone in particular, it sits - but I will get to it.

  3. I'm with you completely on that one - the journey is the best bit by far, but finishing requires an extra act of will on my part! The belt looks fabulous though and that clasp finishes it off perfectly.

  5. Love it, Penny, well done and one of a kind! The clasp reminds me of "cinch" belts that were popular in the 50s. Did you have those too!

Thank you so much for picking me to win. I can't wait to see it in person.

    Have a great weekend.

  7. Finishing off is a problem - so too is knowing when to stop ...
Love your belt. I almost never make anything remotely useful!
