Betwixt and Between

Having made several pockets I decided that I might get back to doll making.  There's been much going on here and my head and heart haven't really be into creating dolls.  It has been a lot easier just to stitch as I can on fabric and make simple little pockets.

As I made a bit of progress I noticed this 'project' sitting longer and longer between my
bursts of creativity.  One morning I came into my studio and carefully packed this whole project into a box of 'undones'.  I'm trying to let myself be an empty book, ready for words but at this point, I'm not sure how the words will read.  I shall attempt patience and see what happens.

You put one foot in front of the other, and one day you look back and you've climbed the mountain." - Tom Hiddleston

  1. Oh, those family things can occupy your mind and block your muse. I am not the one to give advice about that. I'm running at top speed one day and unable to focus the next. A smile and a hug is being sent to you right now from me.
    Much Love, Carol

  2. Same from me, Penny. It's time to pull in for a bit, then one day those half finished dolls will rattle the box to let you know their time has come. In the meantime, build your reserve to handle more important things. XO

  3. Everyone understands those empty book pages, but seldom do we come up with the adventures you usually do. We will be patient with you.

  4. You will find that one day your fingers itch to pull out the project again, and you will know what to do with it!

  5. I love my little doll that you sent me-she looks down on my sewing machine. I think she is waiting for me to make some dolls again.....
