Patience and Fortitude

As you'll notice lately, I've been thinking a lot about 'time'.  Both time in general and my own personal time.   In the course of this 'time thought' I've realized that my own 'schedule' of writing two blogs a week, one involving an original creation, was starting to take the joy in creativity down a dark hole.  Not good!

For now I'm going to drop down to five or six postings throughout each month.  This will allow me to spend more time with my imagination and my sewing.  I'm excited that I'm lessening my own criteria and hope you'll stick with me through this bit of a change up.

"Slow down, you move too fast
You got to make the morning last
Just kicking down the cobblestones
Looking for fun and feeling' groovy
Ba da da da da da da, feeling' groovy

Hello, lamppost, what'cha knowing?
I've come to watch your flowers growin'
Aint'cha got no rhymes for me?
Doot-in doo-doo, feelin' groovy
Ba da da da da da da, feeling groovy

I got no deeds to do
No promises to keep
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready for sleep
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me
Life, I love you
All is groovy" -
Paul Simon

  2. I try and avoid schedules whenever possible and only really blog when I have something I feel is worthy to post, hence my most irregular posting.
Time for yourself is one of the most best gifts you can give yourself.

  3. Ah, we are of the same mind. I love posting here and hearing from my friends in return, but don't want to work as hard anymore. So, I also understand and agree. Love Paul Simon's lyrics now in my 70s more than ever!

  4. Hmmmm. I never think about how often I post. Sometimes it just comes and its a post. I've been lax lately, mostly because like is dull. Post when you feel like it. Just be happy and I will be so glad, as I always am, to see you in my morning blog roll.
    Have a superb weekend!
    xx, Carol

  6. Blogging does take some time-I hope you will find all the time you need to slow down and do your own creative work.

  7. I fully understand! Blogging can become a burden that we impose on ourselves. It has to be fun and to be done when it feels the right thing to be doing. I vary too ... sometimes lots to say and sometimes nothing and that's (generally) OK for me. Enjoy your sewing.

  8. Once it begins to be like work, it turns into a job. Keep the joy! When you keep the joy, you spread the joy, and that is a wonderful thing :-)

  9. Sometimes rules are made to be broken and sometimes it's great fun when you do!

  10. Will miss your regular posts, but blogging is supposed to be enjoyable. Nobody needs any additional pressure in this day and time. We will be ready when you are. :)
