It's a favorite ritual of mine to get up in the wee hours, light a candle or two, put on some relaxing music and just write. It helps me organize my thoughts and pin them down. I am not a linear thinker by nature, but journaling helps me to focus and organize all the many things that swirl around in my brain :)Starr Whitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01053440011702672296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6506351075015078187.post-36096440685888817362014-06-07T05:04:11.699-04:002014-06-07T05:04:11.699-04:00I have started several journals but never keep the...I have started several journals but never keep them up, sometimes I manage to keep them going through a holiday. I guess now that my blog is the nearest to a journal but its mostly about things I make, I even forget to write about interesting exhibitions I have been to.Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09300029654181323351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6506351075015078187.post-56046605912378923402014-06-07T03:01:47.984-04:002014-06-07T03:01:47.984-04:00I think for me visual journals combined with text ...I think for me visual journals combined with text are the most interesting. I've not kept a diary/journal since I was in my teens (and I burned them all in my early 20s) until this year, when on receipt of a Moleskine notebook for Xmas, I decided to casually journal odd days and events as and when I had something to say or show. They mainly focus on days out with the family and include meals out and people's comments about them. I add drawings, paintings, receipts and other ephemera and I'm really enjoying it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6506351075015078187.post-44135121201228574572014-06-06T17:51:16.044-04:002014-06-06T17:51:16.044-04:00No journal here, but I admire those who keep them....No journal here, but I admire those who keep them. I think journaling helps keep one grounded. :)Barbarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12621581899286806108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6506351075015078187.post-84686459112153151882014-06-06T14:42:37.130-04:002014-06-06T14:42:37.130-04:00My blog is the nearest thing I have to a creative ...My blog is the nearest thing I have to a creative life journal, and I do go back and check what I've read about particular topics.

My handwritten diary, by contrast, appears to act as Write Only Memory!Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15322676800314521539noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6506351075015078187.post-10006289413755919222014-06-06T08:45:00.292-04:002014-06-06T08:45:00.292-04:00Ahhhhhhhhhhh....we're both on a book theme tod...Ahhhhhhhhhhh....we're both on a book theme today then!

x CChris Grayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00721231529216666287noreply@blogger.com
